"Ra Music Ambassador Christopher Bastian"

In a day when they say Hip Hop is dead, a new face arises from the seen to bring forth a new phenomenon. Young lyricist Christopher Bastian delivers a magnificent performance on his debut album The Art of Ra. It starts off strong with the Fight Night like intro Its Bastian, followed by a powerful and compelling tour though America in Welcome to America, where he so elegantly describes the perils of our country. The momentum continues with the soulful Mind Body Soul, in which he displays some wit with memorable lines like (You aint gotta be a model, but you gotta be thinner than fat) and drops the bomb on the explosive Move, as he commands you to (get motivated do your thing baby make moves). It gets dark on Cynical as he paints a perfect picture of why exactly he’s so cynical and then shifts gears to dedicate a song to his daughter on the inspirational jam Heavenly. Wasting no time, he shifts right back into the darkness with the sinister banger Sick and slides right into the light as he gives us a little peep talk with Weather the Storm. The emotional roller coaster ride continues with the new Bonnie and Clyde anthem End of Eternity and comes to a climactic conclusion on the intense Can’t Hold Me. Boy what a ride, The Art of Ra proves that Hip Hop is not dead but alive and evolving.

Bio

Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Bastian, born Christopher Lamont Bastian. I’ve been doing creative writing since I was knee high to a grass hopper. I took to rapping as a sophomore in high school as it was a rhythmic extension of my creative writing. It just comes natural to me. To illustrate the feeling I get when I rhyme, picture David Banner turning into the Hulk, all of my emotions rushing to the surface and manifesting itself into “Ra Music”. Ra, the Egyptian term for Chi or “the energy that animates the universe” is what I associate with my music because it is a direct reflection of the energies that make me who I am today. Life is my muse, I am my music. I hope you enjoy it.
