Bio
I grew up in Blue Grass Iowa and was deep into music for most of my life. I participated in band and choir through most of school. After high school I didn't have a musical outlet and it almost drove me crazy. That's when I picked up a guitar and started teaching myself how to play. Before I knew it, I was playing open mics. Cover gigs happened soon after. After a bad breakup, I decided to try my hand at songwriting (I know, Sooooo cliche') It wasn't until I moved to Dubuque that I really felt I was starting to come into my own. Now, I really enjoy writing and hope to continue to do so. Most of my fans tell me that the reason they really like my music, is that they can identify with the stories I tell. I guess I attribute this to some of my favorite influences: Harry Chapin, Jim Croce, Paul Simon, and others. I'm pretty much an average guy with a few stories to tell. I hope people will listen.
