My music will probably remind you of the music you used to listen to on vinyl. If you enjoy artist like Paul Simon, Donovon, Bob Dylan and Arlo...chances are you will enjoy mine as well. I run a simple operation with my music which gives it a simplistic charm.

Biography

My love for music and performing started at a young age. To this day I continue to peruse that love.

My name is Christopher-Kevin Swartwood, and I am a singer/songwriter from Maricopa, Arizona. I have been told that my music has a loosely reminiscent sound of artists like Paul Simon, Donovan Leitch, Matt Costa among others.

I find great joy when friends, family and fans of my music tell me how in some way-to them; my music has made an impression on them. That to me is the greatest compliment I could ever receive. My writing style is similar to that of literature-both children’s stories and novels alike. I like to use words openly, allowing the listener to paint a mental picture of their own; much like when reading a story. The comment I receive most from listeners is, “While listening to your songs…I can actually see with my minds eyes what you’re talking about.”
I love to perform and play music for groups and crowds of any size. Meeting people and sitting and talking with them is an experience that is hard to describe; the reactions of people to the music (good or bad) is a major drive for me……to put it simply; I just want to share my music with the as many willing listeners as possible. My ultimate dream is to travel the country in a Winnebago playing shows and meeting amazing people.
In my personal opinion…I believe my music is the squeakiest, out of tune, most un-danceable music I have heard in a long time…but by Gods graces—or foul sense of humor; I have a supportive group of people following me around pushing me to do better.

Dishwashin' Blues

Written By: Christopher Kevin

The Morning bell it rings so loud i jump out of bed
I hop into the shower run a comb through my head
Unfortunately for me never fell into a dream
But just like Paulie told me nothin is what it seems

I've got the everyday Joe blow dishwashin' Blues
This isnt what i'd wanna do if i got to choose
But momma told me baby just give thanks for what you have
And take a good look at your life it isnt so bad

I walk right through the door into my dishwashin' Hole
Im singin Guthrie songs about the ol' dustbowl
Im counting down the minutes till they set me free
I'll fly right out the door because im happy to leave

I've got the everyday Joe blow dishwashin' Blues
This isnt what i'd wanna do if i got to choose
But momma told me baby just give thanks for what you have
And take a good look at your life it isnt so bad

The weekend comes my pay is here my pockets are fat
Im dreading Monday morning when i've gotta go back
But lucky for me washin' aint the bottom of the bowl
In fact i'll probly be there when im eighty years old

I've got the everyday Joe blow dishwashin' Blues
This isnt what i'd wanna do if i got to choose
But momma told me baby just give thanks for what you have
And take a good look at your life it isnt so bad
