"New talent emerging"

" There is a new talent emerging today, in the form of Christopher Kilday, a gifted singer and guitarist that lit the stage afire at the Guitar Player Magazine Live! 2009 festival in Livermore, CA. His profound interpretations of classics and new songs delighted audiences. When he played, the entire crowd went silent, mesmerized by his heartfelt performance and message.
This is a person to watch." - Drew Rogers

Discography

Bio

San Francisco - based singer/songwriter/performer Christopher Kilday has been described as sounding like a mixture of James Taylor and Antonio Carlos Jobim with a hint of Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson. Christopher writes and sings tunes that could be soundtracks to scorned ex-lovers yearning for answers.

His sublime playing, formed from studying with masters of the guitar throughout conservatories in Cuba, Mexico and the U.S. complements the hypnotic warmth of his voice.

He was the first invited singer songwriter soloist to Northern California-based Guitar Player Magazine Live! 2009 International Guitar Festival. Christopher is strongly influenced by Sting, Gilberto Gil and Paul Simon.

He credits his talent for writing captivating tunes to immersing himself in rich musical landscapes via his international travels to Brazil, Argentina, Cuba, Spain, Mexico, Istanbul and Bali, penning love letters at the precocious age of 12, and also is indebted to his grandparents, who were Jazz Babies and filled their homes with the sounds of Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald each Sunday during his visits.
