Biloxi's Weeping

Written By: Christopher Seale

Biloxi's weeping under troubled skies
Won't you come with me and wipe the tears from her weary eyes
With our arms we can hold her
With our hearts we can console her Biloxi's weeping, but she is alive, she is alive

They called it Katrina; they gave the beast a name
And it shattered our peaceful summer with destruction & pain
Now I've seen some things I hoped I would never see
Biloxi's weeping but she's still a queen; she's my delta queen

The eye saw no color, it battered every soul
It blew wild through the city and down the dirt country roads
We drew lines in the sand but it flooded our hometown
Biloxi's weeping but she's still around, Man she's still around

Biloxi's weeping; can't you hear her cry
Won't you come with me and wipe the tears from her weary eyes
She's wounded and she's hurtin'
She's proud but she's uncertain
Biloxi's weeping but she is alive

There's no joy on the streets or the crystal white shores
I hear no sweet music throught the old porch screen doors
Yet there's hope on the face of each homeless child
Biloxi is weeping but one day she'll rise, one day she'll rise

Biloxi's weeping: under troubled skies
Won't you come with me and wipe the tears from her weary eyes
The beast tried to kill her
But with our hands we can rebuild her
My Biloxi is weeping but she is alive
Man she is alive

Biloxi's Weping

Written By: Christopher Seale

Biloxi's weeping: can't you hear her cry?
God save this queen and wipe the tears from her weary eyes
She's wounded and she's hurtin'
She's proud but uncertain
She's weeping, Lord she's weeping, Biloxi's weeping
But she will survive, she will survive

They called it Katrina: they gave the beast a name
Our peaceful summer shattered, we'll never be the same
Now I've seen some things I hoped I would never see
Biloxi's weeping but she's still a queen, she's my delta queen

The eye saw no color, it battered every soul
It blew wild through the city and down the dirt country roads
We drew lines in the sand but it flooded our hometown
Biloxi's weeping but you can't keep her down
Can't keep her down

I hear no sweet music through the old screen doors
There's no joy on the streets or the crystal white shores
Yet there's hope on the face of each woman, man and child
Biloxi's weeping, but one day she'll rise, one day she'll rise

Biloxi's weeping; can't you hear her cry?
God save this queen and wipe the tears from her weary eyes
The robes are torn and tattered
Her children tossed and scattered
She's weeping, Lord she's weeping, Biloxi's weeping
But she is alive, man she is alive

This Family Road

Written By: Christopher Seale

THIS FAMILY ROAD copyright 5/2006

I'm on the road my parents traveled
And I walk it day by day
A family bible is my compass
I only hope that I won't stray

When days are dark I can hear my mother
Yes, I hear her plainly say
Don't lose faith in tomorrow
Just keep on walkin' this family way

CHORUS
This family road I travel on
May be narrow and it may be long
But it's the only road I've ever known
And it will lead me safely home

My children know the path I walk
Yes, they see it every day
I try to show them what it means
To boldly walk this narrow way

Cause the highway's broad but it leads down
It leads down to the sinner's end
So when you're lost just turn around
On the family road you'll find a friend

CHORUS
This family road I travel on
May be narrow and it may be long
But it's the only road I've ever known
And it will lead me safely home

REPEAT CHORUS

TAG
It will lead me safely home
