Biography

My name is Christo Savalas. I was born in Los Angeles, California, where I lived for 9 years until my father passed away. My family then moved to my mom's home state, Minnesota, where I finished school at the military academy in St. paul (lot's of fun...). After graduating, I picked up and left to Austria for 3 years to learn German, work, and go to school. I just moved back a few months ago so I would be closer to my family and hopefully do something with the music I've been writing for the past few years. Oh, and if you're female, early twenties, and need German lessons, I'm also looking into that.

Lyrics

In The City

Written By: Christo Savalas

Verse 1:

Isn't she something
the best I've ever seen
Isn't she something
Hey man, ya know what I mean
Isn't she something
Look at her move on that chair
Isn't she something
I wonder what she's got under there

Chrorus A:

It's too bad
that my tank's running empty
It's so bad
that the lights are off too
It's so bad
that it's followed me home
It's so bad
that I've nowhere to go

Chrorus B:

In the city
and nobody's home
In the city
I'm more than alone
In the city
stripped down to the bone
In the city
what would i sell for?

Bridge:

Don't stare little baby
Don't stare its not nice
Don't stare little baby
She's clearly paid her price

Verse 2:
What my words could not tell you
the things that burn in my mind
When everything fell through
this was all I could find
I have to sell you
something your money cant buy
And isn't it hell to
finally open your eyes

See You Smile

Written By: Christo Savalas

Verse 1:

Ridin' the train into deep blue skies
with my dazed out disguise
but the look in her eyes
like I'd never seen her ever before
When'll we get there, don't really care
got the wind in my hair
but the look in her eyes
like I'd never seen a woman before
Just take my fingers
Take my hand
Walk with me through the night
Through the night

Chorus:

So I stood there laughing and nothing I could give her
I turned around and gave her the nothing I still had
And I think back on it, I always get a shiver
In the end I always wind up getting sad
She said tell me you love me
and say it like you mean it
I never loved you kid not even a single day
Oh, you're lying she said
she knew because she'd seen it
but it's no matter she was already walking away
away...
oooh baby
id still love to see you smile
oooh baby
it sure has been a while

Verse 2:

I wouldn't say that I don't know how
or that time won't allow
or that it wasn't me
The sun was shining in my eyes
You should just lay back at least for now
'til i find out how it was I didn't see
Only on you my sun sets and rises
I can see you i can feel you
wandering through the night
Through the night

Chorus

Shooting Stars

Written By: Christo Savalas

Verse 1:

Bring out the glasses
I'll take my chances
I know this dance is
a little risky
Foot in the door
I wouldn't ask for more
but life is a chore
When you're not with me

Prechorus:

Undo your hair and come to me
Take of your shoes, walk around with bare feet
You don't have to care, no one can see
Love they say's for fools, but i know you disagree

Step outside and close your eyes
Open your eyes and step inside
Night is white, and wrong is right
and my thumbs are out to shooting stars
and my thumbs are out to shooting stars

Follow the beat of the distance noise
The closer she goes now she knows what she enjoys
Woke up in a dream, and i didn't have a voice
and my thumbs are out to shooting stars
and my thumbs are out to shooting stars

Chorus:

You might be the chosen one
But you can't stay long, fall back into the sun
Everything that stayed, everything these days is a far cry
from broken pieces
I took my time that day
The tide came in at night and in the morning you were away
Add up all the pieces
Sitting with my thumbs out to shooting stars
Thumbs out to shooting stars

Verse 2:

Her head is full of roses
Healthy overdoses
The only one who knows
is in a dream
She won't take chances
She knows romance is
caught in her glances
but never free

Prechorus

Chorus

The Regulars

Written By: Christo Savalas

Verse 1:

I kissed this girl in middle school
She smiled but didn't laugh
I thought for sure I'd keep my cool
but slipped and I smiled back

The days flew by and soon as I
looked up to see the sky
My face had changed and love was strange
the years had passed me by

The regulars at work would spill
BS, their drinks, their lies
Some had families, some had wives
but none were very wise

One man didn't say too much
of anything worthwhile
He said son you don't know
but I'm pretending to smile

Chrorus:

And I said Ooh
Yeah I said Aah
You sit in here and dream of better days
And he said No
He said you're wrong
My dreams are like a rat lost in a maze

Verse 2:

Remember when we use to sit
Bob Marley, joints, and wine
Problems, no one thought of it
It always worked out fine

A thousand and one sillhouettes
of me and you those days
And now I stand behind the bar
servin' redemption on a tray

Old Bill worked like clockwork
He would always come at four
Come here kid I've gotta story
and a hundred more

Sometimes he would laugh out loud
but mostly he would stare
Sometimes he would have a crowd
but no one was really there

Chorus

Bridge:

he said so many faces
and not enough places
Where we know just who we are
And he said that the pace is
set by foolish chases
sometimes ending at the bar
And i'm running my races
without any shoelaces
Never takes me all that far
And he said that the basis
of his life with no traces
was that first trip to that bar
ooh

Chorus x 2

The Time Has Come

Written By: Christo Savalas

Verse 1:

And...
The word on the street
There'll be cold snow and sleet
and an ice covering all the village
A storm's comin in
as the rations run thin
And the shutters are closed on the windows
run and hide
run and hide
And you see how they run
to their homes and their beds
Dreams of the morning
in their heads
Seeds in the ground
not a mouth goes unfed
Dreams of the morning in their heads..

Chorus:

But the time has come
don't wait, you've nowhere to run
The time has come
don't wait, you've nowhere to run
All I've seen
Hey, look where you are
All I've dreamed

Verse 2 (German):

Nun, gib mir die Hand
Ich zeig dir, was ich fand
auf der anderen Seite der Waende
Ich spuerr, wir sind nah
was ich weiss, was ich sah
In 'nem Kreis faehrt er zwar, ohne ende
Keine zeit
Keine zeit
Und beim weglaufen kammst du zurueck zum beginn
Fuerimmer veraendert, wie ich bin
Froehliche Kinder, erwachsen mit zeit
Dreams of the morning light

(English Translation)
Now give me your hand
I'll show you what I've found
On the other side of the walls
I feel we are close
What I saw, what I know
In a circle he goes, without end
No time
No time
And while trying to go back, you came to the start
forever changed like I am
Carefree children grow up in time
Dreams of the morning light

Chorus

For Nothing At All

Written By: Christo Savalas

Verse 1:

You've been waiting between shining seas
Ever praying, the next one'll be be me
Destiny's hand, knocking at the door
Time will tell, if it's heaven or hell
You signed on for

The results are in and you're the next one up
Don't look behind, there's nothing
For you anymore...

Chorus:

Just as you would die for nothing at all you had changed hands as you took the fall for nothing at all

Verse 2:

No one's looking, no nobody's bored
No one's fighting, at least not next door
Your angels watch, but the reaper is blind
Time will tell, if it's heaven or hell
You're out to find

It's the perfect game, and it'll drive you crazy
Watch how fast loud mouths grow lazy
They're not there for you...

Chorus x 3

Any Given Day

Written By: Christo Savalas

I've got a flashing bright picture show in my brain
Yeah, it feels real, but it aint the same
Snapping to my senses, now I notice the chill
As I reach for the lever on my windowsill

And before I turn around so I can lie back down
Could be any given day without you, any given town

As the sun sneaks through my windowpane
Birds sing the same old song again
Lonely, lonely roads turn to busy streets
As footsteps follow their frantic feet

We all move along as if on cue
But I still lie here missing you
Even though I know just what to do
I Still lie here missing you

And before I turn around so I can lie back down
Could be any given day without you, any given town

Now I know I can't find what I'm not looking for
But my head is weary and my eyes are sore
Do me a favor, unforgotten friend
Sing me the same old song again

And before I turn around to my life upside down
Could be any given day without you, any given town

We all move along as if on cue
But I still lie here missing you
Even though I know just what to do
I Still lie here missing you

And before I turn around to my life upside down
Could be any given day without you, any given town
Any given day without you, any given town
Any given day without you, any given town
