"Chris’s undeniable talent is beautifully laid bare."

Xtra Mile High Club Vol.1 is a collection of songs from three of the best song-writing talents in Britain and USA. Frank Turner, Chris T-T and Jonah Matranga - stripped back and re-worked for your pleasure!

The poetic Chris T-T offers radical re-workings from his recent album ‘Capital’ which came out in March. Exclusively for this release, Chris has stripped back ‘Old Men’ and the heartbreaking ‘A Box To Hide In’ with just an acoustic guitar showcasing his lyrical depth and significance. Together with the new piano-led version of ‘A-Z’ and the rather sinister ‘Ankles’, Chris’s undeniable talent is beautifully laid bare. “British pop’s street-poet laureate and unsung genius” Sunday Times

"Chris T-T / Capital - Q Magazine, 4/5"

"As grandiose as The Killers, the suave This Gun and punky King Of England spit hummable fire, while closer 4am elegantly distils everything that already passed."
JOHN AIZLEWOOD, Q MAGAZINE (****) - Q MAGAZINE

"Chris T-T / Capital - PLAN B"

"Richly layered both musically and lyrically, songs spin between vitriolic anger, witty self-deprecation and arch political condemnation. Like Kerouac and Wylie, T-T understands what is subversive about love. We should cherish such poets of 21st century urbanity."
ALISTAIR FITCHETT, PLAN B MAGAZINE - PLAN B MAGAZINE

"Chris T-T / 9 Red Songs - The Fly, 4/5"

"T-T puts the lyrical boot in with righteous wit and scathing laser-sighted accuracy. Hell, even pious protest singers incur his wrath: "Poverty's bad, war is bad, racism's bad/Well done, have a biscuit". Listen to Chris T-T. He talks sense."
4/5 Charlie Ivens - The Fly

"Chris T-T / 9 Red Songs - NME, 8/10"

"A capital-centric folk wonder, he specialises in finding romance in the tiniest details of urban living, crystallising them in string-powered urban folk. Funny, touching and smart."

"Chris T-T / Capital - The Times, 4/5"

"The 21st-century Ray Davies: a witty, insightful observer of the bittersweet, and sometimes just bitter, truths about the city. What makes Capital different is a new aggression to the music, due in part to the presence of Razorlight's drummer, Andy Burrows."
The Times of London, 4/5 - The Times, London

Inspiring... a wry smile, a white knuckle ride and builds to a blistering climax, Chris T-T mixes a damned compulsive cocktail.
NME

"The genius that is Chris T-T."
HUW STEPHENS, BBC RADIO 1

Chris T-T is a man that we would trust with our lives. If he was standing for Mayor of London, Id vote for him.
STEVE LAMACQ, BBC RADIO 2

"The best English folk singer for 50 years."
FRANK TURNER

Hugely influential Brighton-based songwriter, writer and musician Chris T-T's new album is The Bear. It is his 9th album since 1999, his 3rd album for fast-growing London indie label Xtra Mile Recordings and his 1st collection of new songs since 2010.

It marks the first time he has recorded with his live band lineup The Hoodrats, although they've been together since 2008.

Over the past few years he has gigged with with Ben Folds, British Sea Power, The National, Walkmen, Elbow, UK label-mate Frank Turner (who cites T-T as a key influence and has often covered his songs), Emma Pollock (Delgados), Tom Robinson, Quasi, KT Tunstall, Divine Comedy and many others.

T-T has also been a piano accompanist; speaker; activist; radio and club DJ and written for a range of books and publications.

Away from music T-T is a respected presence on Twitter and in 2010 instigated the #1 global trend #IAmSpartacus, as an act of civil disobedience in protest at a freedom of speech verdict in the UK.

Last yea, his furious blog entry critique of the London Olympics closing ceremony went viral, brought 65,000 readers to his website in 24 hours and was purchased and republished verbatim on NME.com three days later.
