Bio
Born and raised in Montgomery County, Maryland, Country Rock recording artist Chris William has been writing and performing music nearly all his life. At age five, he began playing piano. By age 12, he started playing guitar and writing songs. In 2001, while still in high school, he formed the rock band, “The View From Here.” The band would sign a record deal with independent label, To Define Records. In 2003, the band restructured and changed its name to “The Spotlight,” with Chris as the band’s lead singer. In 2006, the band decided to break up.
Although Chris grew up listening to country music, it wasn’t until after “The Spotlight” broke up that he began to develop a love for the country genre. Around late 2010, after a five year hiatus from music, Chris began to write and play songs again. This time he would fuse his own brand of country music with elements from his rock music background. The result is his debut EP, Country in the Heart.
