 With thoughtfully crafted tunes and lyrics that catch you off guard with their clarity and brutal honesty, the band delivers quality entertainment without any pretense and takes things back to the days of accessible, self-deprecating live shows. The release of Afterglow will be supported by local and regional shows throughout the fall and into 2019.


The Chubby Knuckle Choir officially formed in 2009 in Bastrop, Texas with founding members Curtis Farley (passed away in 2014), Perry Lowe, Rory Smith and Tres Womack. With the departure of Womack, the band currently consists of Perry Lowe (Cajon, Djembe, Vocals) and Rory Smith (Congas, Percussion, Vocals) and new members Haley Cole (Guitar, Vocals), Cody Justin King (Guitar, Vocals) and Nigel Frye (Bass).

With a fresh approach but continuing the formula of unique instrumentation and non-genre specific music, all are singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists who come from varying musical and geographical backgrounds. The Chubby Knuckle Choir has shared the stage with the likes of Shinyribs, Radney Foster, Jason Eady, Courtney Patton, The Peterson Brothers, Ruthie Foster and Michael Martin Murphy to name a few.
