Chuck Gen. the creator of MuddWest Records Est. 2000 took his talent to the streets through mix tapes and local anthems. Dirt & Water, a successful independent album released in 2004 has created a local buzz in the mid west. Selling more than 5,000 units in the mid west alone, proved that he is ready to take the industry by storm.
Chuck Gen. has the ruff and raspy vocals that impacts each track with the deliverance of a true performer. Rapping since the age of eight, he has absorbed an unusual upbringing to accentuate the odds. He was raised in Chicago by a young single father who was a hustler and a true entrepreneur. At a young age he carried the broken heart from a mother who had been consumed by drugs in the hellish streets of the South Side. Cultured by the elements, he and his older sister learned the one true way to survive, and that is to grind.
His sister introduced him to the art of rap, and I guess you could say he has taken thug-a-nometry to the next level in hip hop. Everything that is hard was once soft. The period in time when he changed from a vulnerable child to a driven adult, has made him who he is today. So though the trials, tribulations and disappointments of The Chicago Crab Effect, Chuck Gen. has superceded the limits of Chicago.
Through networking he headed east to New York to collaborate with one of Beg 4 Mercy Producers, 7th EMP. There are a lot of rappers out there and several of them will never see the stage. The difference between them and Chuck Gen. is the definition of a MC. Bringing the original voice, versatility, and style the rap game is lacking, Chuck Gen. is ready for super stardom and beyond.
