Bio
Chuck Gibson is originally from Niagara Falls, NY. Classically trained, he spent most of his early music career playing cello, piano, and jazz saxophone. While attending Houghton College, Chuck began writing music and leading worship with other musicians and helped form a band that signed with an independent record label. In 2005, he join the staff at Community Fellowship Church as the Worship Director. Over the past year he has been songwriting with drummer Jabin Baxter and is releasing his first solo album called "I Will Follow" in March of 2010.
Chuck’s music blends guitar-driven rock and atmospheric hooks with salient results: a hope-filled album that’s as well-produced as it is worshipful. From the high-energy opener “Live For You,” to the ethereal powerhouse “Hello,” Gibson’s vocals soar against a dynamic backdrop of half-time rock, piano licks and drum work that’s reminiscent of Switchfoot and The Fray while remaining all its own. Themes of redemption and expressions of praise color the lyrics, nowhere more powerfully than in the anthemic centerpiece “I Will Worship.” To that end, Gibson has established himself not only as a creative artist, but a messenger of hope.
