Bio
Acoustic based singer/songwriter. Influences include: Bob Dylan, John Hiatt, Townes Van Zant, Rodney Crowell.
Born in Weslaco, Texas, Singer/Songwriter Chuck Leah has been a performing musician for over 2 decades. He was bassist for rock bands Haste and The Mighty Smites and jazz pianist Joaquin Lugo during the 80’s. Chuck recorded dozens of sessions for recording studio Master Productions along with drummer/engineer Joe Leal. He then joined Texas veteran country band Tumbleweed with whom he toured extensively. Formerly based in Austin where he was part of a trio fronted by Doug Clark Steiger, Chuck now lives in Katy, Texas. His latest release “Drive” infuses a wide variety of influences from country, rock, folk, and bluegrass creating a fresh sounding autobiographical record. “Drive” was co-produced by Italian guitarist extraordinaire Ettore Biagi. His first independent release “Undone” is slated for re-release in July 2006.
