The boys ( and girl! ) - Also from Leipzig - create blues-rock with punk attitudes on the boards. One might think they were from Gothenburg , because these 70 retro rock style they maintain in their 40 - minute show. - Stormbringer.at
But now the main actors. The festival was opened by two young Leipzig bands that have already staked the big musical spectrum of the weekend at the start of the organizers . It began BREIT . Heavy and rough , laced with dreamy vocals - Female - Fronted Doomrock par excellence . Followed by CHURCH OF MENTAL ENLIGHTMENT. This brought definitely enlightenment in the question of whether bands from Sweden have the Retro Rock leased for the next few years . The clear answer is no ! Psychedelic Blue Rock , paired with snotty - punky vocals ; here a harmonica as a small pepper organ - that is a sound that will make in the next few years a sensation . The Church Of Mental Enlightment is a 4 piece groovy Proto-Metal/Blues-Rock Band from Leipzig combining motorbike riding tunes and infernal creepy riffing with a touch of fuzzed organ
