Bio
Dig into the dirt of life with Michael Churton. His music speaks a rare truth that seeps into the soul of humanity---but tackling topics at the very core of our being takes an awareness that doesnt just land on your doorstep
Michael began his first relationship with a guitar at age 16---he moved on to lyrics two years later. As the musician and artist within him grew, so did his passion to learn and evolve. He searched for a universal connection to share with his audience---climbing Mt. Mulu in Bornea, jamming with local musicians in Havana, and eventually landing in New York City. Here hes unleashed his creativity in countless venues like The Knitting Factory, Cutting Room, The Bitter End, C-Note, and at the Songwriter Hall of Fame Artist Showcase.
Ever since Michael Churton hit the music scene, hes provided a fresh perspective and a spark that ignites every song he performs. Hes got the honesty of Bob Dylan, the soulfulness of Jack Johnson, and the charisma of Dave Matthews---and Michaels bringing storytelling via song to a whole new high. What he shares with his audience is a unique sound and a genuinely heartfelt message. Michaels music carries his listeners to a place of empathy, comfort, and unity---reminding us all that were not alone.
