We are Singaporean singer-songwriting duo Ciao Turtle.
Products of Singapore's 80s generation, Ciao Turtle’s musical influences include Jason Mraz, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Musically diverse, Ciao Turtle explores a blend of genres such as funk, folk, pop rock and acoustic pop in their song-writing.
Formed in April 2014, Ciao Turtle released their first single titled "When The Stars" on 23 August 2014 and the song has been played on Singapore radio stations such as Power98, Lush 995, Class95 and 987Home. Ciao Turtle then launched their second single titled "I'm Out" on 1 December 2014 and the song was ranked 24th on the iTunes singles chart within 24 hours of launch.
On 14 November 2014, it was announced that Ciao Turtle’s song “Being Here” was selected as one of three finalists out of almost 1,000 entries for SG50 The Gift of Song songwriting competition organised by Mediacorp. The song will officially launch and be open for public voting on 7 January 2015.
