Bio

This your girl the one and only CICI CHANEL, born December 08, 1991 in Maypen Jamaica. After I was born four months later I moved to the Cayman Islands where i lived for 7 years. Before moving to the States because I was moving from mother to father which my Father felt it was needed for stability to live with his parent in da heart of miami 7 people in a 3 bedroom home hard times growing up hardly knew my father. which led me to act out and give my grandparent hell almost killed my self after i found my granfathers liqour collection woke up the next day not remembering what happen just saw my grand mother looking at me I was only 11. When I turned 12 my mother came to the states to see if she could make a better life for my brother and I but got invovled with some bad company and got arrested for Grand larceny which was a hard time for me i felt like i lost my mother again. she ended up just having to serve 21 days and pay her fine with all this happening I used music as my outlet from my reality of the life i was living by writing poetry and lyrics inspired by Tupac, Big L, Lauryn Hill, the Fugees, Eve, Joe budden, Movado,Bob Marley, Remy Ma, Lil Kim, Jacki O, and many more influences that I can thank for my love of music. At thirteen i moved to Broward where I lived with my mother which was the best and worst times of my life. the fact that both me and my mother were immigranst we had to work under the table for sometimes less than minimuim wage while trying to get by living in the living room of my mothers uncle condo for 6 years. Growing up in such a challenging environment I would write poetry to get me through living how i lived and the love from my mother and older brother kept me going. still had a missing pieces of me looking for love for my father that writing poems filled which turned into lyrics and help me pull through every feeling i was feeling...i start getting serious about my music in the 11th grade where i open up my love for hip hop but never knew where to go then september,23,2011 I got in contact with Don P from EastSide Empire group an up and coming label from out of fort lauderdale which now there leading me in the right direction so get ready for your girl CICI CHANEL....
Even though i struggled in life i hustle even harder to get myself right
