Cife…Man teams up with his label mate and close friend, K. Remedy, to exchange verses in a video that mirrors the feel of hip hop’s golden era. Indeed, the vibe is reminiscent of Freeway’s legendary track “What We Do.”
Cife…Man, who has an unusual moniker, explains the meaning behind his name:
Everyone always asks me about my name – the three dots, just tells you about me. I was an English major before I started rapping, It’s called an ellipsis, but my name used to be ‘Ciferman’ and then I cut that out and started to go with ‘Cife…Man,’ Cife…Man explained, ‘It’s Ciiiiiife… Mannnnn.’ - The Source

Born Kerven Chery in Port Au Prince, Haiti Brooklyn based MC Cife...Man began hisjourney in the Hip Hop the old fashioned way, at the lunch-table in High School. The exact scenario that has birthed countless legends, the cafeteria cypher was the worlds first glimpse of Cife...Man's talent. Further intrigued by the art and the culture that is Hip Hop he began to do his homework on exactly what it takes to be an MC and furthermore an impactful contributor to the greatest genre of music.
Inspired by the likes of Buju Banton, Beanie Man, Elephant Man, Wu-Tang, Redman, Busta Rhymes, Jay Z, Nas, and The Notorious B.I.G his content is very real. In every sense of the word, Cife...Man's lyrical depictions are centered around his life's experiences as a father, husband, son, hustler.
Utilizing one of his greatest strengths, his voice, Cife...Man has become a regular on the Rotten Apple indie scene. As a performer he is well regarded for going above and beyond when delivering his music in a LIVE setting.
A solo artist since 2007, Cife along with his Beekay Entertainment team has crafted a brand of respect and homage to the culture. Adding accomplishments it would seem daily, Cife...Man is ready to catapult his competitors and write his name amongst the stars.
