Bio

It’s all in the name! Cincere’s more than a gifted artist, he is a humble soft spoken young man on a musical mission and the formula is magic wherever he goes. The fan base is solid, adoring, and uniquely diverse. Children, teens, and young adults grasp his every refrain and parents applaud him for keeping it “real” and clean. Cutting edge, yet soulfully true to the core of his R & B roots, Cincere has fans riveted to the music and the lyrics…. messages of love, hope, and promise intricately woven in brilliantly crafted beats and orchestration.

Cincere’s polished professionalism has made him a favorite opening act for national artists including Mario, Babyface, Bobby Valentino, The Black Eyed Peas, Sly and the Family Stone, Method Man, The Roots, Avant, Ludacris, and Ginuwine. He’s shared the spotlight and the stage with Trey Songz, Rico Love, Marques Houston, Eric Benet, and Jim Brickman. Other major 2005 appearances included the LA Roadshow in Hollywood and the State Farm Bayou Classic in Houston. “His performance was inspired, passionate, and extremely entertaining. He has a great onstage persona,” said Jon Goynshor, Senior Entertainment Manager, 141 Premiere Sports and Entertainment, Chicago.

His third CD is scheduled for a first quarter 2006 release and features a new level of sophistication. Old school meets new in Cincere’s smooth yet scintillating remake of the Temptations “Just My Imagination.” His masterful musical range and versatility can be heard with some surprise twists and turns to the standard R & B repertoire. Early previews have audiences buzzing about the albums subtle crossover appeal. Nationally respected producer/songwriter Kevin Sucher was a major influence in shaping and developing the new project.

“I Do,” Cincere’s first radio hit was recognized as one of the top 100 songs of 2004 by KISS radio. A 21st century love song, “I Do” has fast become an anthem for lovers.

Cincere’s WAMI award winning song of the year “Daddy” is a musical masterpiece with the exquisite lilt of a symphony string section, the innocent voices of a children’s choir, and the inspired power of a gospel choir in supporting musical roles. The song, which is both lyrical and autobiographical, is a call to action to men who abandon their children. The accompanying music video, produced and directed by Rafal Krolik of Seville Media, is poignant and emotional.

A bold proclamation for father’s to stay with their children; the song has generated rave reviews from social service agencies dealing with the devastating after effects of children living without fathers in their lives. In April 2005 the song caught the attention of the National Fatherhood Initiative in Washington DC. Cincere was invited to headline the organizations gala awards at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel, where he performed “Daddy” for hundreds of guests, including First Lady Laura Bush and celebrities like country western recording star Buddy Jewel and football great Allen Rossum of the Atlanta Falcons. “We really need more artists like Cincere in the forefront of hip/hop and R & B music,” said Roland C. Warren, President, National Fatherhood Initiative.

Born in Chicago and raised in Milwaukee, Cincere attended the Lincoln Center School of the Arts. Recognized as an incubator for young artists and Oprah Winfrey’s alma mater, Cincere found the nurturing environment he was seeking at Lincoln Center and discovered creative outlets in both music and the visual arts.

Throughout his early life, a young Cincere went from homeless shelters to abusive environments and back again with his mother and three siblings. Despite emotional and financial turmoil, Cincere continued to perform at churches, shelters, and schools spreading his positive message through his music. “I really just wanted to make others smile. I didn’t have any money to give, so I gave the gift God gave to me.”

Cincere is sharing his uplifting story of hope with hundreds of young people in the central city. He donates more than 50 school performances annually. His message is compelling and engaging…make the right choices…stay in school…stop the violence…take responsibility. During the summer of 2005, Cincere joined with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and the Boys and Girls Clubs in promoting the Safe Summer Program. More than 10,000 young people signed non-violent pledges. Cincere recorded “Show Me The Way,” which was used as the theme song for the project. Thousands of copies were distributed to young people who kept their pledge promise.

Cincere’s devotion and interest in supporting positive social change has made him a favorite with leaders, educators, and parents. Proudly displayed in the artist’s home are awards from community organizations and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett’s proclamation, naming a day each year in his honor. He is equally proud of his recent acceptance to perform for Armed Forces Entertainment and is awaiting an international tour schedule
