In 2009, Kyle Williams, Jonathan Meade, and Preston Pound decided to come together and mix their musical tastes to create a sound that they all enjoy. Erik Morton joined up in 2010 to complete the band as the drummer. They played in Georgia's Atlanta area and North GA until August. In August 2010, the All-so-talented-bongo-man-funk-slapper Preston decided to leave the band to pursue pre-med at Auburn University. With a bump in the road and a twist of fate, the band became in need of a bassist, but not just any bassist, someone who could bring a new element to the band, a dedication, and most of all a new friendship. In October 2010, Gregg McCurry filled out that position. Cincus went into the studio in December to work on their first EP with the renowned Lance Broyles.
