Lyrics

Shoeshine Man

Written By: Cinder Jean

Down on the corner by Joe's cafe's there's a man named Dan just a shining away, preaching, speaking and spreading the news, shining up those ol' funky shoes.

Now he'll do more than just shine up your shoes,
He'll polish your soul and take away your blues,
He'll make you whole
spread the news
he's the Shoe-shine-man.

Who made the song for the
robin to sing?
Who put the stars in the sky?
Who made the mountains?
Who made the trees?
Who made the river to flow to the sea? Somebody much bigger
than you and me
says the Shoe-shine-man.

You put your soul up here
and I’ll take it from there
for just a few little pennies
I'll wipe away your fears.
I'm a voice on the corner,
I'm a voice on the street,
I'm a voice to everyone I meet,
I'm a voice in the wilderness
in a jungle of concrete,
I'm the shoe-shine-man.

Who made the song for the
robin to sing?
Who put the stars in the sky?
Who made the mountains?
Who made the trees?
Who made the river to flow to the sea? Somebody much bigger than you and me,
Says the shoe-shine-man.
Says the brand new shoe-shine
take away your blues kind
shoe-be-doo-n-shoe-shine-man.

Now he'll light up the road when the way is long keep you company keep you safe in his arms.
He says now, "Don't set your mind on material things cause riches fly away on a pair of wings"...

Don't forget what the shine-man
say's money has wings it just fly's away, Shine my soul and make me new polish up these old raggedy shoes He'll make you whole
come on and spread the news
he's the Shoe-shine-man.

He's the brand new shoe-shine
take away your blues kind,
shoe-be-do-n-shoe-shine-man.
Now I see sunshine where I was
once blind, Shoe-shine-man.

Old shoes new-shine,
The brand new shoe-kind,
He's the shoe-shine-man
he's the shoe-shine-man
the shoe-be-do-n-shoe-shine-man.

Big Blue World

Written By: Cinder Jean

Well It hit me hard just like a hammer on a nail.
I know all the reasons why I've failed. It's the straw that broke the camels back this time, Oh you know the camels back is mine.Did you think I'd stay this way forever?
I'm moving on.

Cause there's a big blue world just waiting for you outside your doorstep so what' cha gonna do?
There's a whole pot of gold
at the end of every rainbow,
A whole pot of gold waiting for you to hold. Don't be afraid you've just got to face each new day.

With a smile on your face cause this worlds one crazy place and just like you I'm running in the rat race. Searching for something I'm still hoping to find caught in a down wind on an up hill climb, Did you think I'd stay this way forever? I'm feeling strong.

There's a big blue world just waiting for you I know that dreams come true and there's a whole pot of gold
at the end of every rainbow, A whole pot of gold waiting for you to hold...

Ooo, in this big blue,
In this big blue world,
There's a season for everything,
A time to dance and a time to sing,
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to morn and a time to cry, There is a time for joy
and time for pain,
There is a time to regain,
There is a time for love
and a time for hate,
Right now I need this time to just appreciate,

This big blue world that I'm spinning on this big blue world that I'm living on this big blue world in outerspace in this big blue world I'm gonna find my place.

In this big blue world I'm gonna find my place In this cruel world there is a smile for my face.
In this big blue,
In this big blue,
In this big blue world.
In this big blue, ooh
In this big blue world...

Minefield

Written By: Cinder Jean

I see that look in your eyes
and I know when somethings gonna fly.
Somewhere deep down in the dirt
that's where you've buried all that hurt yea.

I know that look in your eyes,
and the sound of thunder rolling by.
Hey I'd better, tip toe softly on the ground
be careful not to make a sound.
Don't you know this is real.
you better walk lightly through the field.

I'd better tip toe softly through your soul
over the minefields so carefully laid in rows,
Oh, oh, oh don't you say one word
walk softly and don't be heard.

Tonight you better step light as a feather.
You better walk light don't run through the minefield,
you better step light.

Now you must be crazy and I must be insane
thinking anything through all these years could change.
All the joy that I once felt,
has slowly begun to melt,
down the street into the drain
and through the rivers that run through life's pain.

Don't you know this is real?
you better walk lightly through the field.
When the sky turns dark and grey, from a bright blue sunny day
and that old wind starts to blow
oh, oh there's a storm brewing somewhere you know.

Oh, oh don't you know this is real?
You better walk lightly through the field.
Tonight you better step light as a feather.
You better walk light don't run through the minefield,
you better steplight.

Do you see this look in my eyes?
Now It's dawned on me just like a sunrise.
All the fear that I once felt
has slowly begun to melt
down the street into the drain
and through the rivers that run through life's pain.

Don't you know this is real?
You better walk lightly through the field.
I'd better tip toe softly through your soul
over the minefields so carefully laid in rows.
Oh, oh, oh don't you say one word
walk softly and don't be heard.

Tonight you better step light as a feather.
You better walk light
don't run through the minefield
you better step light.
