Bio

Cincinnati, OH’s Cinema Sleep writes music that makes you want to put down your sister’s eyeliner and rock out. Formed in early 2012 by five accomplished musicians, including Brady Reis (lead vocals), Alex Asch (lead guitar and keyboards), Ryan Meyers (bass guitar), Robert E. McDonald (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Kevin Vincent (drums), Cinema Sleep takes influences from Top 40 radio, rock and underground, setting the tone for a mix of modern rock and roll that is unique and transcends labels.

The band’s first record, Make Your Way, received critical acclaim from noted sources in the music industry. Their freshman album was produced by platinum record producer, Kris Crummett, who has produced such noted artists as Emarosa, Dance Gavin Dance, Issues and Sleeping with Sirens. Make Your Way reflected the bands personal growth and garnered them the attention of Standby Records.

Still maintaining the sound that made them popular with previous projects, it has been carried forward into their latest endeavor. On their new full length album Truth for the Seeker, Alex has continued building on his jazz influences creating a sound that has a twist not explored by any other rock band. It creates fresh background support for Brady Reis’s flawless vocals. Brady compiles haunting lyrics that are developed from his personal experiences, covering everything from lost love to the difficulty of relationships and families. The lyrics will always move you and bring you closer to your emotions. “It’s just a reflection of life,” states Brady. “I write about things that have influenced my life and made me who I am today.”

Truth for the Seeker was recorded by Jeremy Stimpert in the same studio used by Black Veil Brides, Childish Gambino and MGK.

“We knew it was going to be hard to put together an album that could top Make Your Way, but we feel like we have accomplished that,” says Brady. The Cinema Sleep sound has progressed and taken some unpredictable chances that are promised to excite anyone who likes rock n roll.

Cinema Sleep most recently toured as direct support for Chevelle where they gained and thrilled new fans. The band will perform a hometown show with Falling In Reverse on May 16 at Bogarts. Watch for them on tour this summer.

The new full length album will be available May 28 on Standby Records. Preorders are currently underway at www.merchnow.com.
