Circle East

Circle East is an Alt Rock quartet from Grand Rapids, MI built upon melodic guitar riffs, tasty ghost notes, and challenging lyrics.  They play music similar to that of Colony House, Bad Suns, and Switchfoot with the goal of impacting whoever they are performing for.  Their sound is melodic, yet driven and full of passion.  

Frontman and songwriter, Nate, writes songs with an intention for impact, while continually focusing on maintaining accessibility to a wide audience.  Lead guitarist, Josh, provides ear-candy, delay-filled guitar licks and riffs of the likes of Hippo Campus, Bad Suns, and U2.  Bassist, Joe, brings a unique funk not common to that of a rock bassist as he is heavily influenced by funk/fusion acts like Snarky Puppy and Vulfpeck.  Joe also has a classical music degree in tuba performance.  Last but not least, drummer, Madison, brings the control and expertise from his Jazz Studies degree from Western Michigan University, yet combines that with the passion of a musician influenced by rock 'n roll throughout his musical journey.

Combined, Circle East provides a fresh new energy to the Alt Rock sound.  With an aim for impact lyrically and melodically, they are looking to book shows in 2019.
