Bio
Although the band has sired half a dozen records since 2005 including the two acclaimed releases under the name Opanoni and The Raindrops before laying that name to rest with their debut as Circle and the full length ‘Just Keep Swimming’, these gems were all in fact bedroom recordings. That makes ‘The Middle’ Circle’s debut studio album.
With the same maverick spirit as say The Flaming Lips or Yo La Tengo, Circle have made an album that belongs to no school of music; that reveals depths of both dark and light with every listen and manages to bypass trends of the current ‘indie’ scene.
The band is playing music they love and few things are more rewarding to an audience than a completely honest execution. It revels in a mix of driving guitars and synths and just as comfortably touches on Motown riffs, 70's rock and pop.
