Bio
Samuel Ciryl OBanner is a producer, lyricist, and vocalist specializing in all aspects of the music genre. With his unparalleled ear pleasing sounds, Ciryl is on a mission to revolutionize the music industry. Ciryl is the word lyric spelled backwards. The name was selected because the pronunciation surreal means unimaginable or dream like, the way he envisions his future.
BACKGROUND
While born in Chicago, Illinois, Ciryl developed his musical talents at his church in Tacoma, Washington, where he played the drums for seven years. At the age of fourteen, he and some friends coordinated T.R.U.E. (Teaching Righteous Unity Everywhere), a gospel rap group that ministered musically at churches and community events across the city. From this experience Ciryl developed his craft and realized that his calling was to minister in music. Ciryl now resides in Orlando, FL and travels internationally reaching the multitudes with the message of Jesus Christ.
My mission is to spread the word of God and teach the multitudes about salvation through Jesus Christ with music in a fresh and exciting way that has never been heard before.
Career Highlights
Performed at the world famous Amateur Night at the Apollo talent search competition and became the only rapper to place 1st runner-up in the competitions history.
Ciryls music has had radio play on Central Floridas #1 Hip-Hop and R&B station 102 Jamz and Volusia Countys local gospel station WAPN 91.5fm.
He has written and produced for other artists who have hit the radio waves on both of the stations above including the summertime jazzy groove Special Praise performed by Natalie Cocroft.
He has had newspaper article reviews highlighting his music printed in the Daytona Beach News Journal and the New Smyrna Beach Observer.
Ciryls music can be heard on television across the country where he wrote and produced the opening theme song for his churchs (Jump Ministries International Church) weekly program that airs every Tuesday at 3:00p.m. on The Word Network.
CURRENT PROJECTS
On December 21, 2005 Ciryl released his debut album entitled Ready to Live. The Album title is a complete contrast to the Notorious B.I.G.s first album Ready to Die. The lyrical content, diversity, and musical composition make Ready to Live the complete package. The project varies in styles from the grunge/rap anthem Best Writin Worst Times, the futuristic Hydraulic Bounce, the passionate and inspirational Forgive Me, to Ciryls own theme song C-I-R-Y-L. On October 29, 2006 Ciryl released the EP Im Still Here which includes the hit singles Free featuring Natalie, and Im Fresh. Ciryls official sophomore album entitled Legacy was released on Nov. 18th 2007.
