Hailing from distant lands, Canada, New Zealand and Iceland, Cities Between Us show us, that their not home sick just yet…
The Cardigan Arms is a small and intimate venue, adding to the electrifying atmosphere that the band already produce. Opening with their stand out song, ‘leave life to live’, the band’s timing and interaction is spot on, they click, and together produce an exhilarating sound which is then emphasised by their impressive light show. They easily draw the crowd in, and after their 20 minutes set the audience were gagging for more.
The lead singer (Josh Cottreau) is a real showman, and has affinity with the crowd.
His bold stage presence shows he could easily maintain a much larger audience. Credit must also be given to the other four members of the band, who gave an impeccable performance throughout.
Cities Between Us differ from other unsigned bands in the UK their sound is best described as southern American rock with a classic Motley Crue twist. They are bound to hit the big time soon, so why not check them out in a small venues before its too late.

Cities Between Us as it is now has been together since August of 2008 but the story really began for us back in May 2007 when three of us (Johannes & Stefan Einarsson, & Nimal Fernando) were back In New Zealand wanting to get overseas to start a band as this was always the dream for us since we could remember. After little preparation and little thought into the matter we were on a plane within weeks to Toronto, Canada to form this band with Canadian Front-Man Joshua Cottreau who we met online. Following this Valdimar Einarsson; younger brother to Johannes & Stefan joined the group in August 2008 completing the band in its full line-up.
Since forming we have moved 3 Continents, 3 Countries, 4 Cities. This is to keep the band alive and too set up our bases in North America & Europe! We think of ourselves as an international band and don't really know where to call home anymore but this is they way we like it!
In July 2010 we began working on our debut album with producer Matt Hyde who has worked with artists such as Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Bullet for my Valentine, Ash, Slipknot, just to name a few. The album is being recorded over 2 sessions and is due for release early 2011. In September of 2010 we release the 1st Single and Music Video (Dirty Money) off our upcoming album.
We have been on our journey for over 2 years now and have loved every single second of it. The future has a lot installed for us so expect a lot from Cities Between Us on the course of our career...
