In today's over-saturated hip hop arena where originality & true lyricism are no longer the desired attributes of most artists today,there are still a handful of "Emcees" that believe those qualities are the true formula for success.Westside Chicago native "Sonny Black" is definitely one of those "Chosen Few".Since his emergence on the underground scene in 1997,Sonny Black has easily proved to be one of the windy city's most talented & respected "rhyme spitters".Sonny not demands respects from his "arrogant" style of flow,but his keen instinct & and vision on the executive battlefront as well.In 2000 along with his "partners in rhyme"(Kredible & Phoenix Diego),Sonny formed the self-proclaimed supergroup "Tha Black Hand Movement" and began to impose their will on all who would listen.And although their first collective LP "tha black market mixtape" showed little financial success,the citywide streetbuzz & attention it garnered was invaluble.In 2005, Sonny Black along with some of the city's most promising emcees formed the highly anticipated music powerhouse "Urban Muzik Entertainment",in which sonny presided as the CEO.But because of inter-label disputes with the UME's primary invester(Jaime Avilla) & it's Senior VP(Big O),Sonny Black & "Tha Movement" opted to remove themselves from the Urban Muzik equation.Although still closely affiliated with most of the artists on UME's roster,Tha Black Hand Movement once again found themselves without a label home.But life goes on and with the group currently in the process of shopping themselves to major labels,they are more determined than ever to prove that nothing & nobody is going to stop them from what is rightfully theirs.........Hip Hop Immortality,stay tuned!
