Bio

For the last 7 years, at Ciudad Pasarela, weve been making quality Rock n Roll on the local scene. During a time when musical fusions were taking over the market, Tj Donner and Camilo Galeano, who had already played together in several bands, decided to get back to our roots and the reasons we started making music in the first place, certain wed find an audience that would grow with us.
Influenced by classic British, US and Argentinean bands, we started writing songs that spoke to the basic emotions of any human being: love won and lost, sadness, hope, among others, with lyrics inspired by our own lives.
Out of this, we recorded our first album, called simply Ciudad Pasarela, and launched it in 2008. This record allowed us to play venues and festivals in Medellin, including the Altavoz Festival, as well as the countrys capital. It also brought us a new member: Mauricio Serna, who had recorded, mixed and co-produced the record and who joined us on lead guitar.
In 2011 we sat down and said we wanted to record another set of songs, more focused, with a rawer sound that would allow us to play them live without the need for backing tracks or external aids. We took a year out to write, demo and throw out songs until we reached eleven that were good quality and excellent musically, and that communicated exactly what we wanted to share at this point in our lives.
We made the record over the first half of 2012 at io Recording, Mauricios studio in Medellin, and we launched it on May 3rd, 2013 at the Matacandelas Theater, also in Medellin.
Tren del Circo has already brought us great joy, even though its only been on the market a short time. We got a wonderful slot at the Vibra Mi Tierra festival, weve been on local TV a number of times, weve played the Altavoz Festival again, weve played a couple of times in Bogota, and, most importantly, our friends and followers have loved it.
We have great plans for the future. Weve confirmed gigs all around Colombia and are making contacts outside the country. Were certain we can reach many more people as we develop our passion: Playing Rock and Roll.
Tren del Circo is a record that talks about the current situation of our country and our city. Its a reflection of our lives right now. Its the sound of us opening up our souls with classic, strong, unpretentious Rock and Roll.
We want to invite you to get on board this Tren del Circo, this Circus Train. We want to invite you to become a part of Ciudad Pasarela. To listen to the sound of our lives, to the sound of your life.
