Civilized Animals
Music has many shapes and forms. It incorporates emotion, thought and passion. Through energy we create vibrations; these arranged frequencies deliver harmony interpreted by the ear. As Civilized Animals, we entertain, teach and motivate through music.
In 1996 a transformation took place. Two guitarists, Jason Casatelli and Michael Romagnino from Nutley, N.J. founded Civilized Animals, the band concept. When the Northwest music scene emerged into N.J. our brains exploded with ideas. Inspired and passionate, our creativity collectively discovered a unique sound telling the story.
Alone and misunderstood we decided to travel. At the stroke of midnight, on New Years Day 1998 we embarked on a journey to the West Coast. In San Diego we met our drummer Brock Boehm from Houston, TX. Drawn by challenge we moved to Seattle, WA.
With endless stories and tremendous adventures our songs emerged into original works. Using chorusing vocals and drum driven intertwining guitars, we captured the essence of rock music. The Civilized Animals live with persistence and sacrifice, a group’s passion into music through unity.
