"Almost Top Model"

Almost Top Model
By Crystal K. Wiebe
Published: September 27, 2007

Diversity — of shape, age and gender — is a theme for tonight’s Girls and Guys on the Runway Fall Fashion Show, which features tweens to 40-something models, at Penn Valley Community College Theater (3200 Southwest Trafficway). “People tend to believe that models can’t be but a certain size, and that isn’t true,” says the event’s organizer, who goes by the initials S.J. And yet, the best-known person on the runway tonight pretty much exemplifies the skinny standard. Sleek Furonda Brasfield competed in the sixth season of America’s Next Top Model. S.J. snagged Brasfield for the event because the model’s uncle is married to S.J.’s first cousin. Advance tickets cost $10 and are available at Jim’s Fat Burger (6901 Prospect) and Island Spice Caribbean Restaurant (10 West 39th Street). Live Entertainment from C-Jay, KCMO Bucks,KC-REIN, Money Train, Phanali & X-qzit. Admission at the door costs $15. For more information, call S.J. at 816-215-7568. Furonda Brasfield

Discography

Like Oh, Give me those, Make Em Lean, Growing up it was hard. Now the hit song Like Oh, is taking off in southeast, makin its way back to Mid west by the buzz about the song. All those songs have been used at one time or another in the background of commercial ads created by C-Jay, who is also a student in Broadcasting at CMSU & college TV. To add to the list Skinny Lenny is singing the hook on She want it.

Bio

Born In the inner city of Kansas City Missouri, C-Jay
decided to do something different with his life and
pursue his dream as a rapper. His dream was quickly
shot down when he was unable to finnacialy afford the
purchase of house beats. C-Jay then decided to start
making his own beats. He began working and working
until he was able to master the art of making beats
and perfect his skill of clever lyrics. Even though
C-jay is a great producer he is very underrated as a
rapper. He was always a good beat maker but people did
not see his talents as a rapper. C-Jay decided to
prove everyone wrong and will be dropping his debut
album "The New Era" which will have
productions from C-Jay himself along with other
inspiring producers such as J-Cruth, and Beat Caterez.
The ALbum will also have features from his newly
signed artist Skinny Lenny, and Jon from the dope
house family. There will also be some guest
appereances from: Yung Flash, Da YoungStarz, A.V., RD,
Hillboy, Celmatic, Young Inve, June the Gunner, and
more. The album is set to drop hopefully soon. The
album will be available at your local Target, Walmart,
7th Heaven and any other stores which sell CD's. the
album will also be available online for international
fans.
