"Female-fronted Claiborne holds much
promise with a punchy mix of rock,
alternative, and postpunk. The group
may just have the chops to follow in
the footsteps of Tampa success story
Automatic Loveletter." - Tampa Bay Times / St. Petersburg Times
5-piece, rock outfit Claiborne. Fronted by 20-year old vocalist
Tiffany Francum, Claiborne naturally attracts comparisons to bands like Paramore.
And while, yes, both bands have extremely dynamic female lead singers...and both
bands produce super catchy music - there are a lot of differences. Claiborne's music
isn't confined to the pop-punk genre and they very often create a seamless blend of
the post punk attitude, hardcore guitar and growls, and the aforementioned pop-punk
light-heartedness that allows the crowd to have just as good a time watching
Claiborne as the band seems to have performing for them."

Like fellow local rockers Automatic Loveletter, Claiborne have whip-smart chops
and a cute blond singer (Tiffany Francum), but that's not the only reason they're
one of Tampa's up-and-coming groups to watch.
After Francum joined the lineup last year, the band (Danny Ortiz, Danzel Vaughn,
Scott Black and Brian McKay) landed an opening slot at December's 97X Next Big Thing
concert at the Ford Amphitheatre, and they just released their EP, De Stella Nova .
And as for the comparisons to Automatic Loveletter (and Paramore, and Flyleaf, and
on and on ... )? "To us, we're just a rock band that happens to have a girl singer,"
McKay says, "not the other way around."
