"Claire Clarke - Base Ad"

She’s young, she’s sassy and she’s a self-confessed wild child. She’s Claire Clarke, and she’s about to show Australian audiences what pop is really all about. - BASE AD

"Claire Clarke - Hot Source"

We compare her to Avril Lavigne. Claire is from Perth. What we like about her is that she plays solo, live, acoustic gigs AND plays with a more rocking electric set up. Point is, she plays live. She's GETTING OUT THERE! And that's what it's all about. Keep it up, Claire - Hot Source

"Libra Play with Patterns"

Will CLAIRE CLARKE choose YOU as the winning LIBRA songwriter?
19-year-old singer, songwriter and pop-punk dynamo, Claire Clarke has been selected to judge the Australia-wide Libra Play with Patterns competition. Entrants are requested to enter their own lyrics to the Libra guitar riff for the chance to win their entry recorded alongside the rock-chick guitar track on the MySpace website.

The competition commenced 30 September 2008 with top-notch music industry figures chosen to judge alongside Claire. They include MCM Take 40 Australia personality Alexis (Savaidis) and MySpace marketing manager Mark Bulgin. Claire was chosen for her high-spirited nature and “is honored to be selected on behalf of Libra and cannot wait to see the talent and work closely with the winner.”

Claire will be helping every step of the way during the competition by writing a weekly blog, giving advice and helpful songwriting tips to the entrants. A design part of the competition will also reward the winning entrant who designs the best album cover. The 10 songs that generate the highest votes will be produced and recorded by Claire with the winning song played on the MCM platform and available to upload via MySpace music. “This is a fantastic opportunity for young girls hoping to make it in the music industry with the chance to win wide-spread exposure” says Claire.

The winner of the Play with Patterns competition will be announced on November 11, 2008 and receive five-star-rock-star treatment – flights to Sydney, hotel accommodation for 2-nights and the chance to work with Claire on producing their winning song. Runner-up prizes include a Sony PS3 Guitar hero pack, Apple I-touch and Motorola Hip-Top Slide.

"Claire Clarke - Album 'Unhinged'"

Unhinged (Bluestone Records)
The indie rock intro to the opening track, Blur, on this Perth 19-year-old’s debut album is something of a surprise. Sounding like Avril Lavingne doing Placebo, the music was not the sugary stuff I was expecting. There is a touch of that elsewhere in a couple of blatantly commercial poppy songs but it is the rockier numbers such as the aggressive Smell the Roses and grungy guitar-backed I Want You that really stand out. The fact that Claire Clarke wrote all the songs adds extra passion to a very promising release.

“We love Claire... the new track sounds awesome. Oh, and our nights guys love her too... not sure if that’s just cause of her music or cause they think she’s hot.”

Bio

Claire Clarke is a girl who knows what she wants, and when it comes to her eagerly awaited NEW music, she had one very clear goal in mind – To have Fun.
Our Australian Pop-punk dynamo has captured the high-spirited, full-throttle energy that she loves to unleash on-stage. With catchy kick-ass attitude her new music is edgy, tongue in cheek SMASH HITS!...
It’s a marked departure from the darker, more introspective tone of Unhinged which she wrote when she was 17 years old; being an artist with a keen and well-trained ear for powerful, magnetic pop melodies the new album is a collection of songs that reveal just how far she’s evolved as a singer and song writer.
Claire’s at a new stage in her life; she’s passed through the shadows of teen angst and emerged in the spotlight, ready to have fun and rock out!
