Storm Clouds

Written By: Claire Gaynor

STORM CLOUDS

This house stands empty, and the clock ticks on
A fool for paradise I know I'm one
The river of life flows out to the bay
And I'm sittin’ here watchin' the storm clouds blow away

Across the horizon the dust blows up
The doors are hammered down the windows are shut
And in the red dust I still write your name
While I'm sittin' here watchin' the storm clouds blow away

You sailed out on a breeze, like some old rollin' stone
Takin' everything from me and everything you owned
They're tellin me your comin' back but somehow I doubt that
And I'm sittin' here watchin' the storm clouds blow away

INSTRUMENTAL

And in the red dust I still write your name
While I'm sittin' here watchin' the storm clouds blow away
Just sittin' here watchin' the storm clouds blow away.....
