Bio

Claire was born and raised in Queensland, Australia. During her uni years she taught herself guitar and began to write songs about life, God and her own journey. Peers enjoyed her music so much that they encouraged Claire to showcase with a small local indie record label, CWMedia, who signed the young artist up immediately.

1997 saw Claire record her first album "The Goodness and Severity", marry and move to Melbourne where she began singing at local festivals and churches. In 2000 Claire recorded her second album - a self-titled six track EP, and by the end of 2001 she had recorded her third album "Whatever It Takes" and was touring Australia with the Paul Colman Trio playing support.

Recordings taken from the PC3 tour comprised her fourth record "Live and Transparent" but no sooner had she released this album when she and husband Pete discovered they were soon to start a family. They continued down the family-creating-path for five years, music having been put well and truly aside for the time being, and by 2007 the family of two had grown to a family of five!

In early 2008 Claire began work on her newest album "The Spectacular Thing". This record definitely reflected the change and growth that family life and the passing of time can bring, with a more grounded and mature approach to lyric writing and a less pop oriented sound (phew). Her return performance to the stage was at Easterfest 2008.
