"The best part about being a musician is being on stage and hearing people sing my songs. It reminds me of why I started playing guitar." Said artist Claire Stahlecker in a recent interview. This Chicago native is establishing herself as a credible singer/songwriter in a male dominated genre. Citing John Mayer as the reason she picked up a guitar and other influences such as India Arie and Lauryn Hill, Claire has created a sound all her own that speaks for itself quite well.
Armed with a single-minded passion to play, Claire plays every chance she gets whether, in an actual show or just walking around playing her newest song, she has a passion for music and it will no doubt take her far. Rockin the suburbs has been Claires life for the past few years but now shes got even bigger goals for herself. "I want to be signed within 1 year." Impossible goal?
