Bio
Clara Stegall, now 19 years old, delivers a soulful and passionate sound beyond her years. Though born in London, Ontario, Clara has lived in several locations across the U.S.A. and Canada. Her travels have exposed her to a wide range of musical cultures and genres.
Clara credits much of her musicality to her parents and siblings who are musicians and musical enthusiasts. Clara has been exposed to a diverse collection of genres ranging from classical avant-garde to jazz of many varieties. These influences are apparent in her original music and unique vocal approach.
Though having received no formal training in guitar or voice, Clara has greatly excelled from musical training in other areas. After 7 years of study, she is up for her Grade 8 piano in accordance with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music standards. As a percussionist, Clara performs multiple styles in various jazz bands, concerts bands, and community ensembles. In 2011, she received a scholarship to attend the International Music Camp based in Parry Sound, Ontario for percussion; she was also selected to represent her high school in the Ontario Honour Band.
Clara currently resides between San Francisco, CA, USA and Grand Bend, ON, Canada. She attends Berklee College of Music.
