Biography

If the United Nations opens a comedy club, here's their house emcee:
Clara Bijl (BELLE). Clara was born in France, raised in the Alps, and
schooled in Germany, Switzerland, and - you guessed it - South
Carolina. (Long story.)After college Clara moved to New York City to study film and to begin
her stand-up comedy career. Performing relentlessly, she's become a
prolific writer of witty, cutting material. With an European
perspective and telegenic looks, Clara has graced the best stages in
New York and beyond. She was a semifinalist in Comedy Central's
Laugh Riots, and has performed in the last two NY UndergroundFestivals.
All the while Clara has kept a foothold in her home continent,
appearing in Holland's "The Comedy Factory TV Show" and
continuing to write for the World Swiss hit TV show "Le Petit Silvant
Illustré". Clara has also directed 3 short films. Whew.
