THE RE-INVENTOR
On September 20, 1985 in Philadelphia, PA a young man by the name of William Thomas is born into the world. From the beginning he was a “star”, unorthodox, and completely opposite the trends. Classic found his calling the first day he nodded to a beat and scripted a verse. From an early age he was constantly introduced to different forms of creative expression from he and his siblings listening to their father play them a variety of different music to his mother being a poet and short story writer.
Ironically Classic's first burst of creativity started with drawing, not music. He went from scribbling in note pads as an art major at Gratz high school in North Philadelphia to scribbling rhymes and song lyrics in a notepad as a student of music. Whenever Classic listened to music it was as if it was telling him that it was his calling.
So in 2001 he started perfecting a new craft. First Classic engaged in the hard-nosed battle rap sub-genre, an art very notorious in Philly streets. After seeing the over-saturation in the battle rap arena he began to focus more on songwriting. Finally after years of hard work and heart breaks he was hit with a new vision…a new sound...”re-invention.” Re-invention was fusion of old school and new school. That classic s*%!
Now with his new sound, new affiliates and new official brigade team Classic is poised to become one of the emerging superstars of the new wave of artists/producers the music industry’s been missing. Those in need of change will finally get their wish. He is apart of a circle that's here to present a new age of music.
