The
most recent rendition of Claus Raible’s trio shines for its power
of inspiration, projecting the music to an unparalleled dimension of
virtuosity and intensity.




The
live performances of the band literally mesmerize the audience,
typically culminating in a
series
of breathtaking encores, while people start clapping, shouting and
dancing to the music: this new recording captures the extraordinary
energy and dexterity of this team of incredible musicians.





Emerging
from the Bud Powell/Thelonious Monk School, Claus
Raible
has
developed a highly personal style and his original arrangements add
to the music a freshness and vibrancy that is appreciated by all
generations of jazz enthusiasts.

He
holds a special place among contemporary piano players as well a
position of esteem from many
acclaimed
Jazz Masters.

In
addition
to his engagements as a highly sought after pianist in various
ensembles, Claus has regularly engaged in forming extraordinary
projects both in Europe and
the USA, working with line ups that have varied from quartets to
sextets, octets to full jazz orchestras and each of his projects have
received popular and critical acclaim for their energy, musical
intelligence and originality.



Over
the last two decades, he has performed with jazz greats such as Jimmy
Cobb, Charles Davis, Andy Bey, Jesse Davis, Ben Dixon, Jon Faddis,
Art Farmer, Herb Geller, Benny Golson, Dennis Irvin, Brad Leali,
Lewis Nash, Mark Murphy, Ed Thigpen, Britt Woodman, Jimmy Wormworth,
to mention a few.







Giorgos
Antoniou
provides the hard grooving and rock steady foundation
for the Trio. The bassist earned his international reputation through
his collaboration with such greats like Clark Terry, John Lewis,
Johnny Griffin, Cedar Walton and Albert Heath.







Alvin
Queen
is a Master of Modern Jazz drumming. His professional
career began at age eleven, only one year later he made his recording
debut under the leadership of Joe Newman and Hank Jones. In the
following years he had engagements with the formations of Horace
Silver, George Benson, Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson, just to
mention a few. Alvin Queen is one of the most highly praised Jazz
percussionists of his generation.
