Bio
Claw was formed out of the ashes of Mark Birtles Project. Lead singer and songwriter Blake Betteridge has played drums in Bayonets!!!, and is also a painter. Claw draws on this experience, which has sharpened and focused Betteridge's artistic nature.
Claw is rounded out by Drummer Matt Morin (Matt also plays drums in Bronto Scorpio), Mark Raymond (who fronts the cool sounds of Hang Loose), and Bryan Birtles (who also plays guitar in Bayonets!!!).
The subjects of Claws songs are drawn from newspaper articles, dispair, a fatalistic view of the present and future, as well as self reflection.
