Clay Hughes
Laidback vocals that contain lyrics with an edge. I play either by myself, with another guitarist or with a full band. The sound is always being changed to identify with the crowd...that's who matters!
Biography
My main influences would be Ben Harper, Ray LaMontagne, Otis Redding and Jack Johnson. I like playing music that is laidback but still deliversa solid meaning. My music keeps me grounded and I love sharing my stories with other people.
Discography
I have recorded a few demos and I am currently working on some new recordings with an independent label in Kansas City.
Set List
I like to play for an hour or an hour and a half. I like to keep the set so that the crowd does not get bored and always wants more. For covers, I like to do songs that are unexpected. For instance, I have a version of Justin Timberlakes "Cry Me A River" which turns into "All Along The Watchtower." I also love to play old R&B cover songs.
