Clayton Cooke, known as Clayton C to the reggae community now resides in Toronto Canada, Clayton was born in the parish of Portland, Jamaica.Since the fall of 2007 to 2009, Clayton decided to hit the air waves and pursue his music career.
With the encouragement of friends and family, Clayton has been honing his craft for over ten years. He released a few singles,such as On Fire, Love like ABC, and Call Me, these singles were well received by the masses in Toronto, UK and Amsterdam.
Clayton has been nominated for best upcoming artist and best male artist at the Canadian Reggae Music awards. Clayton was also nominated for Best New Artist at the Reggae Music Achievement Awards in Canada. Clayton has been performing at numerous community/family venues and fundraisers in and around the greater Toronto area..
In 2008, Clayton was honoured to perform at the annual Jamaica Day celebration and he had the privilege to share the same stage with the likes of Errol Dunkley, Tony Rebel, Leroy Sibbles and Queen Ifrica.
After a short hiatus, Clayton is back on the move with new releases on iTunes. amazon and most major online retail shops, in addition to recent performance at the annual feed the poor Christmas gala and, Canadian Pilipino community function.
Clayton is influenced by artists Luciano, Frankie Paul, Al Green, Sam Cooke and last but not least Bob Marley. Clayton is now ready to take his soulful/lovers rock vibes to the world.
