Rodney Wiggins, “CleabornHomes”, was born Feb. 9, 1988 in south Memphis Tennessee. He is one of eight children reared by a strong, diligent mother who always worked at least 2-3 jobs to support him and his siblings. CleabornHomes uses his lyrical skills to share raps about real life experiences and true events, while keeping his original street and southern sound. 

One of CleabornHomes most recent accomplishments was obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Tennessee State University. South Memphis is one of the oldest portions of Memphis Tennessee, stretching from Midtown and Downtown to the Mississippi state line. Many neighborhoods in Memphis are considered home to many famous Hip Hop/ R&B singers and rappers from old to new. Many locations in South Memphis are also considered a hotbed for crime and violence due to the high amount of gang influence and poverty level of the area. Despite the statistics that CleabornHomes faced, he pushed through to beat the odds.  

In his latest EP entitled, M.O.M. Moments of Meaning, he shares the reflections of memories shared with his mother. His lyrical word play helps his audience to visualize his experiences about where he’s from and how he grew up. 

"It is my goal to share my mother’s life as well as my own through my music. I want my listeners to feel empowered through my story as they buy, share, and listen to the album".

CleabornHomes plans to not only continue his journey as an artist but to become a successful businessman as well. Future endeavors include opening a boxing gym that will increase community engagement with at risk youth. By engaging community leaders and creating partnership the boxing will also provide employment opportunities for the youth. “As for future plans as an artist, I want to move the world through music that I make".
