Despite many more lucrative alternatives to being in a full-time band, Buffalo, NY quintet CLEARMOTIVE continues to write rock and roll music and tour the country.
Following two records on Rainstorm Productions, "Words As Weapons" (RSD005) and "Is There A Market For This?" (RSD009), of which the band sold over 1,000 copies of each, CLEARMOTIVE regrouped with a new lineup and a fresh direction. In October of 2004, this lineup recorded their first demo. Entertaining each member's varied influences, the demo at times recalls bands such as Frodus, Cave In, The Jesus Lizard, At The Drive-In, Isis, Majority Rule and Shellac.
Over five years, CLEARMOTIVE has played over 150 shows in more than 35 states, touring with the likes of Tabula Rasa, Haste, Calico System and the Black Halos while sharing the stage with bands like Q And Not U, Vaux, Cave In, MewithoutYou, Owen, The Jealous Sound, Burnt By The Sun, and Murder By Death.
