Early 2009 Cliff Clavin recorded the album ‘The Thief’s Manual’ at the Tankurinn Studio in Flateyri. In August the band released the single ‘Midnight Getaways’. The song reached number one in the X-ID radio charts and remained there for 3 weeks, going onto be the second most played song of 2009. The band received further attention and were seen on the cover of the biggest music supplement in Iceland, along with live performances of the single on TV and the video being played constantly on music channels. Spending the rest of the year playing live shows non stop. With new songs reaching out to a wider audience the band have seen a growing addicted and affectionate following.
2009 Airwaves festival the band received rave reviews including a (KKKK) live review from Kerrang. The band would feature the following year in the huge Kerrang show streamed online from Nasa.
Early 2010 the second single ‘This Is Where We Kill More Than Time’ was released. For the second time Cliff Clavin reached the number one position, staying there for two weeks. The video was a firm favourite and the songs popularity would later see it being used in a national Nokia phone campaign.
