Born in Penang Island, Malaysia, December 26th 1990 to a father who loved music and a mother who dances as a hobby. From a very young age he was exposed to old records shown to him by his father of legendary performers such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Chick Corea, Miles Davis, Max Roach and etc. His Father influenced him so much at the age of 11-12, he was first introduced to the drums. His interest and inspiration started to show on the age of 14 when he started playing rock cover songs in a high school rock band and eventually showing interest in jazz music after being exposed to the first Penang Island Jazz Festival in 2004. Since then he made a decision to be a performer and musician. Cliff is currently active in the Malaysian music scene and has obtain his Foundation In Music (FIM) certificate from the International College Of Music (ICOM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Over the past few years he has performed for various acts such as World Pop artist Amirah Ali, who earned a final spot in The John Lennon Songwriting competition 2010 and achieving 2nd place in The ISC (International Songwriting Competition), upcoming Indie artist Melinda Wong and Figure Of Speech/ Shinji Moriwaki and for 2 consecutive years he was the house drummer of the Queen Tribute in ICOM in 2010 and Paul Simon Tribute in ICOM in 2011.
