"REVIEW OF "ANYMORE""

Review: "Anymore" by Cliudan
Artist: Cliudan
Album: Anymore
Year produced: 2008

This is not the first album by Cliudan, and you can tell. There's a solid sound here...a nice combination of traditional and progressive...the sound they deliver is all their own. It's nothing quite like other music I have heard, which is a refreshing change.

I particularly liked the last track, "Johnny Don't Go," which has a drive and feel to it that pulses and pushes it along quite nicely.

The band really goes with the flow, which makes it almost feel like you are hearing live music--but with no crowd to interfere with the sounds. All in all, the sounds I heard here were both unexpected--and appreciated!

Our newest, and yet-to-be-named project is currently in the works and will bring togther the same winning production and engineering team that made "anymore" possible. Add to that a healthy dose of an impressive backlog of original material in addition to a select few gems from some other great writers.

Celtic Roots and Eclectic Influences.

Winners of the SAMMY Award for the "Best New Folk Album of 2008"

Our signature driven acoustic style is a collective product of our upbringing and love of this timeless music of the Gaels. Raised among the rolling hills, farmlands and valleys of the North East US/Candadian border we’ve played all of our lives. Over the past nine years we've become well known for our creative and energetic mix of progressive Celtic and fiery traditional, blending the two in an unpredictable but always sincere and appreciative way. The nucleus of our sound is a tribute to our Irish and Scottish roots, our rural upbringing, and our varied musical backgrounds. Collectively, we have played in every genre from blues and americana, to rock, punk and world. As individuals we have played professionally, as studio musicians, as itinerant buskers…but always for love of the music. cliudan has played extensively though the Northeast US and border states and are now moving progressively into the Lower Canada, Midwest, Midsouth and EU markets. We’ve brought our music to small pubs, large clubs, huge festivals, music award shows, private parties, radio, television, screen, state tourism pieces, the odd fundraiser and even an invite to "Americas Got Talent" in NYC. We make new friends and fans very quickly and feel very fortunate to have met so many great people along the way. We hope to see you sometime soon.
