Cloud Of Hope

The band first begun in 1992 with songs written by guitarist/vocalist Jim Warino with a focus on putting a Christian acoustic and rock band together. Jim got involved writing and recording with bands Fade From Black and Gnashing Of Teeth and after finishing CCCM School Of Ministry picked up once again with Cloud Of Hope. Various Christian musicians were playing along the way and more songwriting was being accomplished. Classically trained pianist and vocalist Eva Pesek joined in 2003. A phone call to vocalist and weekly Mission Viejo church trumpeter Rob Esten was made in 2004 and he subsequently joined the band. School of Worship alumni, drummer Kevin Doyle, played with the band at select times an joined in March of 2005. School of Ministry alumni and orchestral bassist Mike Wendall came on board in mid 2005 and CCCM Worship Community vocalist Donna Davidson joined in September of 2005. CCCM School of Worship alumni/CCSouthBay vocalist Michelle Brazil joined in November of 2005. In the summer of 2007 the jazz/gospel voiced Tia Hong joined the band. Throughout this the band went to record a simple worship CD and then ideas abounded and then after 1 1/2 years both a 10 song acoustic and rock 10 song rock CD have emerged. The CD's are entitled Raising Praise Volume 1 Acoustic and Raising Praise Volume 2 Rock. Also the band released a double length 20 song CD (entitled Raising Praise Volume I and II) that features both the acoustic and rock songs running at nearly 80 minutes. These albums were produced on work on by amongst others Joe Floyd (Warrior) and Tracy G (WWIII and Dio). Cloud Of Hope just finished a new CD entitled "Christmas Blessings" that features 13 songs including a new original song called Merry Christmas All Blessings. Cloud Of Hope is also scheduled to record an original CD and then also a blues and hymnal CD in the future. Many ideas abounding. The bands focus is to perform and record music to praise, proclaim and glorify Jesus Christ to all that will hear.
