Bio

Alex and Thomas have been writing and playing music together for years, and around springtime 2005 they decided to get some reinforcements and start a new band up. It became apparent that the right choices at the time were university mates Sondre Sandhaug on bass and Nils Wingerei on lead guitar. After rehearsing their old stuff for a while, they started writing new material and ClubPilot began fine tuning their unique sound.

Spending most of the autumn 2005 writing and getting a fifth member, Eirik Saga on keys, ClubPilot went into the studio at the end of January 2006 to record their first EP. The EP was never released, but gained some interest from promoters around Liverpool and elsewhere plus attracting the bands current manager, Cynthia Remolina, to the band.
Spring 2006 was a turning point for ClubPilot. Having spent a lot of time playing the same songs over and over again, they went into a cosy little studio in Norway to write loads of new material and record it on the sly. The new material was breath-taking. Fantastic retro rock with catchy melodies, seductive harmonies and powerful sing-a-long choruses. After that, it only went upwards for the band. The fall of 2006 was a rollercoaster ride for ClubPilot, playing some 20 gigs in the North-West of UK, gaining the reputation of being Liverpool's best live act, and recording a stunning new EP to be released early February. After seeing the band live and hearing the Ep they have recieved great feedback from industry professionals including Dave Wibberly of V2 records, Jeff Taylor of Sony BMG and Mat Flynn of Honey Records.

In November of 2006, due to professional reasons, Nils and Eirik left the band. Simon "Admiral" Hager joined the band as the new guitarplayer and the band is now a four piece band, with session musicians on keys.

Come join us live in 2007.
