Clybourn

BandAlternativeAcoustic

Acoustic/Electric Alternative rock with a singer songwriter feel to the lyrics. Catchy beats and a unique sound.

Biography

Clybourn was formed with two hometown friends who moved to Milwaukee for School. After a few years of playing together their shows have gotten bigger and the music has gotten better. Our influences include Incubus, All American Rejects, Dispatch, and a wide variety of other artists, it's a pretty eclectic mix. When people ask me to describe my music to them the only way I can do it is to sit down and play a song on the guitar. I am a fan of all types of music, from metal bands like to chevelle and taproot to some folksy acoustic like Jack Johnson and Dispatch. My music definitely has a sound formed of many influences. From playing at parties to bars in Milwaukee, we always have a great time and truly love creating music.

Untied

Written By: Andy Ballard

Untied

Excuse me can I tell you one thing about my life
It seems that my knots always come untied
One step forward usually means two steps back
It feels like my bones always want to crack

It sometimes feels like I cant Breathe
I just watch these chips fall where they may
I’m cut wide open as it all drops away
I shouldn’t have to just sit here and bleed

It always feels like I’m caught in the rain
Ive taken a walk down the block umbrella’s broke again
The last thing that I need is to fall down again
But everytime I get up it makes me stronger than

It sometimes feels like I cant Breathe
I just watch these chips fall where they may
I’m cut wide open as it all drops away
I shouldn’t have to just sit here and bleed

Excuse me can I tell you one thing about my life
It seems that my knots always come untied

Into The Light

Written By: Andy Ballard

Into the light

At one time I welcomed all the shit
The world could throw in my face
Sadly mistaken I should not assume
That grace

I’ve learned through all my trials
That something is fucked and not right

Like a moth into the light, were pulled
And it doesn’t have to go down that way

You can try
You can fight
It’s a long light
And you have to fight

And you ask why all has gone so wrong
Ask any man in a black suit who has suffered so long
It tears the blood from the veins
And it stops the beat of the heart

Like a moth into the light, were pulled
And it doesn’t have to go down that way

You can try
You can fight
It’s a long light
And you have to fight

How can he be so cynical towards all of this
Its because I know what turns us around
And I keep my feet on the ground
And my head in the clouds

At slow speeds we all come down together
At slow speeds we all come down to a level

Like a moth into the light, were pulled
And it doesn’t have to go down that way

You can try
You can fight
It’s a long light
And you have to fight

The Last Time We Spoke

Written By: Andy Ballard

The last time we spoke

The last time we spoke you thought that id never leave
You thought that id be stuck here unable to breathe
But since that time ive found myself
Ive grown older and wiser ive created a monster

Your words will always echo in my head
Who could forget those things you said
And you started a fire
Underneath me and in my veins

So won’t you come and dance in my flames
And I will set you free

The last time we spoke I saw it in your eyes
That you’d be missing me and mine
But since that time ive moved on to bigger things
I hope you like it when you see me doing what I need

Your words will always echo in my head
Who could forget those things you said
And you started a fire
Underneath me and in my veins

So won’t you come and dance in my flames
And I will set you free

The last time we spoke I knew it was goodbye
You didn’t think I could do this on my own
So hears your words served up on a plate
I hope you enjoy them as I pass by

Your words will always echo in my head
Who could forget those things you said
And you started a fire
Underneath me and in my veins

So won’t you come and dance in my flames
And I will set you free
