"Texas Bluegrass: Clyde and Clem's Whiskey Business"

The bluegrass beats of local Austin act Clyde & Clem's Whiskey Business invoked musical mayhem at Hole in the Wall on Tuesday.

Amid the faint smells of whiskey and tequila, Whiskey Business had the entire venue pumping to the group's swing before the first knee-slapping, foot-stomping song was over.

"I'm new to Texas, and this is exactly what I wanted to see" said Charlie Herrmann after his first Whiskey Business concert experience.

Whiskey Business is a definite must-see for local music fans, featuring original songs sure to shock and entertain.

"Backyard Bluegrass in all it's raucous glory"

Clyde and Clem’s Whiskey Business bring backyard bluegrass in all it’s raucous glory to Hole in The Wall tonight. The local six-piece brew a melting pot production with their twangy, boot-stomping orchestrations fused with a melodramatic, banter-fueled stage show that plays on hillbilly stereotypes. Their witty take on low-brow humor and songs about truck month, Sarah Palin, and of course whiskey will have you hootin’ along to their engaging, energetic show. - The Austinist

Bio

Whiskey Business, based in Austin, Texas, is an 7 (sometimes more!) piece bluegrass disaster. Raised on a steady diet of punk and rock, rather than the requisite Flat & Scruggs, they push their instruments and bodies to the breaking point and beyond in a high-energy live show known for demolishing bar sales records across Texas.

A hodgepodge of blazing-fast foot stompers and dopey slur-alongs, Clyde and Clem's Whiskey Business' performances must be seen to be believed, and seen twice to recall any details. Loved by misfits, punks, and hippies, disdained by traditional string bands, Whiskey Business proudly bills themselves as "The Worst Bluegrass Band in Town".
